GE HealthCare and UCSF Health have entered a 10 year Care Alliance focused on modernizing imaging and strengthening care delivery across the health system. The agreement will expand the use of advanced imaging technologies across multiple clinical settings while supporting workforce development and innovation.
UCSF Health is building two new hospitals, one for adult care at Parnassus Heights and one for pediatric care at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland. The alliance will help integrate advanced imaging infrastructure into these facilities while improving access to technology across the broader system.
Key focus areas include remote scanning support to expand patient access to specialized imaging, radiologic technologist education and workforce development, and magnetic resonance excellence through optimized protocols and integrated service management.
The workforce initiative will include structured education, hands on clinical training and peer mentoring to address staffing needs. The collaboration builds on a longstanding relationship between UCSF and GE HealthCare to enhance imaging quality and support improved patient outcomes.
