Plug-and-Play Device Brings Edge AI Capabilities to Multiple Platforms

ASUS has introduced the UGen300 USB AI Accelerator, a compact device designed to enable on-device AI processing across a range of systems.

The accelerator features the Hailo-10H AI processor, delivering up to 40 AI TOPS of performance to support workloads such as large language models and vision-language applications. It includes 8GB LPDDR4 dedicated memory, allowing systems without built-in AI capabilities to run AI tasks more efficiently.

Designed for ease of use, the device connects via USB Type-C and supports plug-and-play functionality across Windows, Linux, and Android platforms. It is also compatible with AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and ONNX, making it suitable for developers and enterprise use cases.

With low power consumption and local processing capabilities, the UGen300 enables AI workloads to run without reliance on cloud infrastructure, supporting use cases like text generation, video analysis, and real-time processing.
