Update Expands Deep Learning Capabilities in CT Imaging

GE HealthCare has received U.S. FDA clearance for True Definition DL, a deep learning-based solution designed to enhance computed tomography imaging.

The solution uses a dedicated neural network to improve spatial resolution and reduce image artifacts, enabling clearer and more detailed CT scans. It supports imaging across areas such as lung, musculoskeletal, and inner ear diagnostics, where high-resolution visualization is critical.

True Definition DL builds on GE HealthCare’s existing portfolio of deep learning imaging technologies, including TrueFidelity DL and True Enhance DL. These solutions aim to improve image quality while maintaining efficiency in scan time and radiation dose.

The technology also supports high-resolution imaging with a 1024 matrix and enables faster scan times, including chest imaging in under one second.
