Daikin Industries Ltd. has been selected for the Asia IP Elite 2025 list by Intellectual Asset Management. This marks the third year in a row that Daikin has received this recognition. The list highlights companies in the Asia Pacific region that actively manage and apply intellectual property as part of their business strategy.
The Asia IP Elite selection focuses on organisations with dedicated IP teams that use intellectual property effectively handle disputes and explore new ways to create value from patents and related assets. This year a total of one hundred and one companies and organisations were recognised across the region including twenty five from Japan.
Daikin has taken steps to support lower greenhouse gas emissions by allowing other companies to use selected patents. Since December two thousand nineteen the company has worked with WIPO GREEN and has registered four hundred and nineteen patents linked to air conditioners using the low global warming potential refrigerant R32. This platform helps share sustainable technologies and encourages wider adoption across markets.
The company is also expanding collaborative innovation with startups universities research institutes and government bodies. These efforts focus on creating shared incentives for invention and have led to an increase in patent applications in Japan and overseas. Daikin continues to align its IP work with its global R and D priorities under its Fusion twenty five management plan which includes carbon neutrality customer focused solutions and value creation in air related technologies.
