Honda WN7 Secures iF Gold Award with New Electric Motorcycle Design

Honda has won the Gold Award at the iF DESIGN AWARD 2026 for its WN7 electric motorcycle, marking the first time a Honda product has received this recognition.

The WN7 is part of Honda’s move toward carbon neutrality and is positioned as its first electric naked motorcycle in the FUN category. The model is built with a frameless structure, where the battery case functions as the main body frame, helping reduce weight and improve design flexibility.

The motorcycle delivers a maximum output of 50 kW and torque of 100 Nm, offering performance comparable to mid and high-capacity internal combustion engine bikes. It is designed for both city riding and longer journeys.

Key design elements include smooth surfaces for rider interaction, a strong silhouette and a horizontal bar-style headlight. The black body with gold accents adds to its visual identity.

The award recognizes the balance between traditional motorcycle design and a modern electric approach.
