Google Pay has introduced Flex by Google Pay, a digital co branded credit card designed for everyday spending in India. Built on the RuPay network, Flex is UPI powered and launches first in partnership with Axis Bank. The card is fully digital and works directly within the Google Pay app.

Flex is aimed at making everyday credit easier to use and manage. Users can apply for the card inside the app with no paperwork and start using it on their phone. Payments can be made at offline merchants through UPI scans or online across apps and platforms. Rewards are earned as stars which can be redeemed instantly on transactions. Users can also track spending, manage bills, choose full payment or EMIs and control card security from within the app.

Google Pay plans to expand Flex to more banking partners over time. The rollout has started with a phased approach and users can join the waitlist through the Google Pay app. The initiative focuses on improving access to transactional credit and simplifying how people manage daily expenses.
