Siemens and Rittal Partner to Build Standardized Data Center Energy Systems

Siemens and Rittal have formed a strategic partnership to develop standardized power infrastructure for data centers.

The collaboration focuses on improving power distribution to support rising energy demands from AI workloads. With data center power density already exceeding 100 kW per rack and expected to grow further by 2030, the companies aim to create systems that improve efficiency and reduce deployment time.

One of the first solutions includes a centralized power rack that supplies energy directly to server cabinets within the data center. This approach is designed to simplify infrastructure and support high-performance computing environments.

The partnership also includes development of standardized low-voltage systems for modular and containerized data centers, along with solutions for safety and operational efficiency.

The initiative targets regions following IEC standards and aims to support faster construction and scalability of data centers. Initial customer projects are already underway, with potential expansion into other industries in the future.
