Preliminary Results Show Growth in Core and B2B Segments
LG Electronics has reported preliminary earnings for the first quarter of 2026, with consolidated revenue of KRW 23.73 trillion and operating profit of KRW 1.67 trillion.
The company recorded its highest-ever first-quarter revenue, supported by steady performance in core businesses such as home appliances and continued expansion in B2B segments including vehicle solutions.
Operating profit improved year-on-year and exceeded market expectations, driven by cost optimization efforts, production adjustments, and growth in higher-margin businesses such as platform and subscription services.
The home appliance segment maintained growth through demand across premium and volume categories, while the media and entertainment business saw improved profitability supported by operational efficiency and expansion of the webOS platform.
LG’s vehicle solutions business continued to grow with a strong order backlog, while the HVAC segment faced challenges due to global market conditions but is expected to focus on opportunities such as heat pumps and data center cooling.
