At Lenovo Tech World 2026 in Las Vegas, Motorola showcased new flagship devices, design-led editions, and AI-led concepts as part of a broader technology roadmap developed alongside Lenovo. The announcements focused on foldable smartphones, a new ultra-premium phone range, cross-device AI, and an expanded ecosystem of connected accessories.
Motorola introduced its first foldable device, the motorola razr fold, expanding the razr lineup with a new form factor. The device features a 6.6-inch external display and an 8.1-inch internal 2K LTPO display designed for multitasking, productivity, and media use. It supports flexible layouts, moto pen ultra stylus input, and on-device AI features such as Catch me up and Next Move. The camera system includes three 50MP rear cameras with a Sony LYTIA sensor, a 32MP external selfie camera, and a 20MP internal camera, with Dolby Vision video recording and enhanced stabilization.
Motorola also launched a new ultra-premium smartphone franchise called motorola signature. This series introduces long-term software support with up to seven years of Android OS and security updates, premium materials, and additional services such as on-demand assistance. The first motorola signature device includes four 50MP cameras, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 platform with dedicated AI processing, a 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED display, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support, Sound by Bose tuning, and a 5200mAh battery with fast wired and wireless charging.
A major software announcement was Motorola Qira, a unified AI platform developed jointly by Lenovo and Motorola. Qira brings together moto ai, Lenovo AI Now, Creator Zone, and Learning Zone under a single interface and wake word. It is designed to maintain context across devices such as phones, PCs, and tablets, reducing the need to repeat prompts or switch apps. The platform integrates with partners including Microsoft, Qualcomm, Intel, Google, and Perplexity, with further features planned for rollout during 2026.
Motorola also revealed Project Maxwell, an AI perceptive companion proof of concept developed by its 312 Labs team. This wearable concept is designed to be hands-free and context-aware, using cameras, microphones, and sensors to interpret real-world situations and provide real-time insights. It can respond to natural language commands and execute actions such as summarising events or drafting content, with learnings expected to influence future AI product development.
As part of its sports partnerships, Motorola announced the motorola razr FIFA World Cup 26 Edition under the Collections by Motorola series. Linked to the FIFA World Cup 2026, the device includes FIFA-themed customisation, wallpapers, sounds, and camera features, while retaining the core razr hardware, durability features, and battery performance. Initial availability begins in February 2026 through select channels.
Motorola also expanded its broader device ecosystem with new additions to its moto things lineup. These include the moto sound flow speaker with Sound by Bose tuning, a new moto watch developed with wellness features in partnership with Polar, the moto pen ultra stylus, and the moto tag 2. These devices are designed to work across Motorola smartphones while offering coordinated design finishes and colour options.
