Samsung One UI 8.5 Beta Rolls Out to More Galaxy Smartphones

Samsung Electronics is expanding its One UI 8.5 beta program to more Galaxy devices as part of a phased global rollout.

The update now includes devices such as the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Z Flip5, Galaxy S23 FE, and for the first time, the Galaxy A36 5G in the A series. The beta is being released in select markets including India, Korea, the U.K., and the U.S.

Built in collaboration with Android, One UI 8.5 introduces enhanced cross-platform file sharing. It adds support for AirDrop-like functionality through Quick Share, allowing easier file transfers between devices. This feature will be available on select newer models such as the Galaxy S25 and S24 series, and the latest foldable devices.

Samsung plans to expand the beta program to more devices later in April. Users can access the beta by registering through the Samsung Members app.
