Nokia has signed a multi year patent license agreement with Hisense covering the use of Nokia’s video technologies in Hisense televisions. Under the agreement, Hisense will pay royalties to Nokia.

The license resolves all patent related litigation between the two companies across all jurisdictions. This marks Nokia’s first patent license agreement with Hisense. Financial terms and other details of the agreement have not been disclosed by the parties.

Nokia develops video and multimedia technologies used in areas such as video compression, content delivery, content recommendation and related hardware functions. Over the past 25 years, the company has created more than 5,000 inventions that support multimedia products and services. Its work is supported by continued investment in research and participation in global technology standards.
