Samsung Electronics America has announced the launch of Galaxy A17 5G and Galaxy Tab A11+, expanding the Galaxy ecosystem with devices designed for everyday smartphone and tablet use. Both products focus on display quality battery life performance and long term software support while adding select AI features.
Galaxy A17 5G specifications
Galaxy A17 5G features a 6.7 inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Exynos 1330 processor and comes with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage with support for microSD expansion up to 2TB. The phone includes a 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging.
The rear camera setup includes a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization along with a 5MP ultra wide camera and a 2MP macro camera. The front camera is 13MP. The device supports 5G connectivity Wi Fi 5 and side mounted fingerprint security.
In terms of durability it comes with IP54 dust and water resistance Gorilla Glass Victus on the front and a reinforced polymer back. Samsung is offering six years of Android and One UI upgrades along with six years of security updates. AI features include Circle to Search and Gemini.
Galaxy Tab A11+ specifications
Galaxy Tab A11+ comes with an 11 inch TFT LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and Full HD resolution. It runs on a MediaTek octa core processor and is available in 6GB RAM with 128GB storage or 8GB RAM with 256GB storage. Storage can be expanded up to 2TB using a microSD card.
The tablet has a 7040mAh battery with fast charging support up to 25W. It includes quad speakers with Dolby Atmos a 3.5mm headphone jack Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi Fi 5 connectivity. Camera hardware includes an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera.
Galaxy Tab A11+ runs Android 16 and supports AI features such as Circle to Search and Gemini. It also includes Samsung Notes with math solving and DeX Standalone mode for a desktop like experience. The tablet has a metal unibody design IP52 protection and facial recognition security.
Availability
Galaxy A17 5G will be available in the US starting January 7. Galaxy Tab A11+ will go on sale from January 8 including a 5G variant through major carriers.
