Samsung Begins Official Rollout of One UI 8 Across Galaxy Devices

Samsung Electronics has officially started rolling out One UI 8, bringing advanced multimodal AI, personalized suggestions, and enhanced security features to Galaxy devices. The rollout begins this week with the Galaxy S25 series, with Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Flip6, Galaxy S24 FE and additional eligible models to follow later this year.

What’s New in One UI 8

  • Personalized Experience with Enhanced Security: Smarter daily suggestions, proactive recommendations, and Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection (KEEP) for app-specific encrypted storage. Knox Matrix further strengthens device safety with real-time risk protection.
  • Intelligent Multimodality: AI now integrates vision, audio, and context. Tools like Gemini Live enable real-time interaction with what users see, while Circle to Search with Google delivers instant in-game insights and translations directly on-screen.
  • Optimized UX Across Form Factors: Enhanced Multi Window, Split View and Floating View features improve productivity. Large screen devices benefit from drag-and-drop AI content, while FlexWindow now supports Gemini Live, customization tools and wallpapers.
  • New AI Tools & Features: Portrait Studio for pets, Audio Eraser to remove background noise, Call Captions for live transcription during calls and Interpreter with text-based translation make communication and creativity seamless.
