At CES 2026, Samsung Electronics presented its Home Companion concept which redefines home appliances as interactive partners designed to reduce daily household effort. Shown during The First Look 2026, the Home Companion zone demonstrated how AI-powered appliances can see, listen and suggest actions to support a low-maintenance lifestyle.

At the entrance, connected Bespoke AI appliances showcased intelligent coordination through SmartThings and Bixby. The Bespoke AI Refrigerator Family Hub displayed personalized information such as schedules and daily activity summaries through Now Brief. FoodNote analyzed food usage patterns and recommended recipes to support grocery planning and reduce waste. Voice commands enabled hands-free actions such as opening and closing refrigerator doors.

Robot cleaning was highlighted through the Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra which uses built-in cameras to assess surroundings before cleaning. Users interacted with Bixby in conversational language to manage tasks and receive immediate responses. These demonstrations showed how appliances that understand their environment can manage chores with minimal user input.

In the AI Kitchen zone, Samsung presented appliances including the Bespoke AI Refrigerator Family Hub, Bespoke Double Wall Oven, Bespoke AI 3-Door AutoView French Door Refrigerator and the Bespoke AI Wine Cellar. Enhanced AI Vision allows the refrigerator to recognize a wider range of food items as they are added or removed. Google Gemini integration enables natural interaction and contextual assistance directly through the appliance interface.

The upgraded AI Food Manager tracks ingredients, recommends recipes and generates usage reports to help manage food more efficiently. For wine storage, the AI Wine Manager identifies bottle labels, tracks storage location and records details such as variety and vintage. Samsung also demonstrated AI Hybrid Cooling which dynamically adjusts cooling using an AI inverter compressor and a Peltier element to balance energy efficiency and performance based on real-time usage.

Home care and laundry were also part of the Home Companion experience. The Bespoke AI Laundry Combo improves drying efficiency with an additional heat exchanger, supports up to 20 kg drying capacity and reduces overheating. AI Wash+ automatically adjusts wash and dry settings based on fabric type load weight and soil level while AI VRT+ minimizes vibration by analyzing floor conditions. Garment care is synchronized across devices with automatic setting transfer to the Bespoke AI AirDresser.

For cleaning, Samsung showcased cordless vacuums including the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra, Jet Lite and Jet Fit. The Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra uses AI to recognize objects cables and liquids and adjusts cleaning behavior accordingly. It navigates obstacles up to 60 mm, cleans edges with side brushes and sanitizes mop pads using high-temperature steam. The vacuum is powered by a Qualcomm Dragonwing AI chipset and supports automated mop washing and odor reduction.
