Samsung Electronics is expanding satellite communication capabilities across select Galaxy smartphones including the Galaxy S26 series. The rollout covers partnerships with telecom operators in North America, Europe and Japan, with features introduced in phases based on regional network availability and regulations.

Satellite connectivity is designed to support emergency response, messaging and essential data services in areas without traditional mobile coverage. Since 2025, Samsung has supported satellite communication on select Galaxy flagship models starting from the Galaxy S21 series and Galaxy A series devices, and continues to expand supported models.

In the U.S., services are supported through partnerships with T-Mobile using T Satellite with Starlink, along with Verizon offering eSOS and text services on Galaxy flagships after the Galaxy S25 series. Samsung is also collaborating with AT&T.

In Europe, Samsung is working with Virgin Media O2, MasOrange and Vodafone.

In Japan, satellite based services are supported through KDDI, with planned availability through SoftBank, NTT docomo and Rakuten Mobile.
