Samsung Electronics presented its vision for the future of digital appliances during a Deep Dive session at CES 2026 in Las Vegas. The session focused on how AI is shaping connected living and how Samsung plans to evolve home appliances into intelligent companions that support daily life.

Led by Cheolgi Kim, Head of the Digital Appliances Business, Samsung explained how its Bespoke AI appliances are connected through SmartThings to function as Home Companions rather than standalone devices. These appliances use voice recognition built-in screens and cameras to understand user behaviour and respond proactively. The approach extends beyond appliances to TVs and mobile devices creating a wider AI ecosystem across the home.

Samsung highlighted that the goal of Bespoke AI is to enable better living by delivering practical AI experiences that adapt to everyday routines. The company emphasised cross-device connectivity and long-term value through software driven intelligence rather than isolated hardware features.

Regional strategies were also outlined during the session. In North America Samsung is seeing growth driven by new form factors such as the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo along with updated kitchen appliance packages designed around local preferences. In Europe the focus remains on energy efficiency with appliances such as the Bespoke AI washer delivering significantly higher efficiency than current minimum standards along with HVAC and built-in kitchen solutions.

In Latin America demand continues to be led by laundry and air conditioning products. In Asia Samsung sees growth opportunities through smart home adoption and localised AI features including regional language support and expanded AI Energy Mode. The company plans to extend core AI features across more product categories and price segments over time.

Looking ahead Samsung stated that it plans to expand AI applications beyond traditional appliances into areas such as HVAC modular housing and insurance-based care services. Through open collaboration regional customisation and long-term software support the company aims to reduce household complexity and integrate AI more naturally into everyday living.
