Sony Honda Mobility unveiled the AFEELA Prototype 2026 at CES 2026 and shared updates on its vision of mobility as a creative entertainment space. The company also confirmed progress on AFEELA 1, its first production model, with customer deliveries in California scheduled to begin in 2026 and expansion to Arizona planned for 2027.

AFEELA 1 has moved from concept to pre-production, with trial manufacturing completed at Honda’s Ohio facility. Sony Honda Mobility will open dedicated AFEELA Studio and Delivery Hubs in California and plans to expand sales to Japan in 2027. More than 100,000 visitors have already experienced the vehicle through showcases and in-vehicle demonstrations.

The newly revealed AFEELA Prototype 2026 builds on the AFEELA 1 platform while offering greater interior flexibility and accessibility. A production model based on this prototype is targeted for launch in the US as early as 2028.

The company also outlined key technology pillars including AI-driven driver assistance evolving toward Level 4 capability, a conversational personal agent powered by Microsoft Azure OpenAI and future adoption of solutions from Qualcomm Technologies’ Snapdragon Digital Chassis. New initiatives include the AFEELA Co-Creation Program for developers and an open on-chain mobility service platform using a token-based incentive model.
