Sugata Roy appointed as VP Circle HR Head at Vodafone Idea Limited

Sugata Roy has been appointed Vice President Circle HR Head at Vodafone Idea Limited and is based in Bengaluru. In this role he will lead HR strategy and people initiatives at the circle level for the company. He brings broad HR leadership experience across telecom, automotive, logistics, retail and FMCG sectors with a focus on HR business partnering, talent management and people transformation.

Before joining Vodafone Idea Limited he worked at Hero MotoCorp as Lead HRBP Commercial Business and HR Digital Transformation. There he supported India and global teams and worked on HR digitisation efforts. Earlier in his career he held senior HR roles at VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd, TM International Logistics Ltd from the Tata Steel Group, Madura Fashion and Lifestyle under Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd and Mother Dairy Fruit and Vegetable Pvt Ltd. Across these roles he handled talent hiring, succession planning, HR operations, employee engagement and performance management.
