Toshiba Corporation has announced plans to integrate Toshiba Digital Solutions Corporation (TDSL) into its main organization through an absorption-type merger scheduled for April 1, 2026. Toshiba will remain the surviving company, while TDSL will be absorbed. The companies will now proceed with the necessary steps for this transition.
The move follows the policy set out in the Toshiba’s Revitalization Plan released in May 2024, which outlined the consolidation of four key group companies directly into Toshiba Corporation. The aim is to simplify the corporate structure and strengthen group-wide management. The integration of Toshiba Electronic Devices & Storage Corporation will also be considered at a later stage.
TDSL a wholly owned subsidiary of Toshiba focuses on system integration and ICT solutions that utilize IoT, AI and quantum-related technologies. In FY2024, it recorded non-consolidated net sales of 168.5 billion yen. Toshiba Corporation reported consolidated net sales of 3,513.9 billion yen in the same fiscal year. Both companies share the same headquarters in Kawasaki, Japan and are led by President and CEO Taro Shimada.
