The Xiaomi 17, first introduced in China in September, is now gaining attention as its global variant has appeared on a benchmarking platform. This listing suggests that the phone may launch internationally soon. A tipster also indicated that the India launch could take place earlier than the previously estimated March 2026 window. The benchmark entry shows the device with an Adreno 840 GPU and approximately 12GB of RAM, along with Android 16 and HyperOS 3 for global markets.
According to the information shared, the global Xiaomi 17 may use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, similar to the Chinese version. The processor reportedly features two high-performance cores clocked at 4.61GHz and six efficiency cores at 3.63GHz. Benchmark scores for single precision, half precision, and quantised AI tasks were recorded at 559, 555, and 1,261, respectively.
The Xiaomi 17 is expected to enter select global markets in January 2026, with the India launch likely in January or February. This timeline contrasts with earlier reports suggesting a March rollout. The Chinese version includes a 6.3-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 300Hz touch sampling rate. More launch details are anticipated soon.
