At its 2025 Annual Speech in Beijing, Xiaomi introduced the Xiaomi 17 series alongside the Xiaomi Pad 8 series and new home appliances. The event, led by founder Lei Jun under the theme Change, emphasized the company’s focus on its “Human × Car × Home” smart ecosystem.
The Xiaomi 17 comes with a 6.3-inch compact design, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, Leica Summilux imaging system, and a 7000mAh Surge Battery that supports 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. The 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max feature a dual-screen design with a Dynamic Back Display, allowing users to customize wallpapers, pin notifications, and interact with virtual pets. They also include advanced imaging with telephoto and periscope lenses, improved OLED display technology, and battery capacities up to 7500mAh.
The 17 Pro series also introduces features such as retro handheld console mode, UWB smart car key functionality, and efficient charging. Prices range from RMB 4499 for the Xiaomi 17 to RMB 6999 for the 17 Pro Max. Sales will begin on September 27, 2025, through official Xiaomi channels.
