Daikin Europe has provided heat pump systems, air conditioners and air purifiers to schools and kindergartens across Ukraine. The support is part of the Emergency Recovery and Reconstruction Project funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), aimed at restoring essential public infrastructure affected by the war.
In total, 32 heat pump units, 5 room air conditioners and 6 air purifiers have been supplied to various educational institutions including kindergartens, primary and secondary schools. The equipment helps ensure better learning environments during Ukraine’s extreme weather conditions.
A handover ceremony took place on July 24 at a kindergarten in Boryspil, where a heat pump system was installed. The event was attended by Ukrainian government officials, JICA representatives and the city’s mayor. Deputy Minister Maryna Denysiuk highlighted the importance of energy-saving solutions like heat pumps in maintaining comfort for children.
Daikin’s systems are designed to operate efficiently even in sub-zero temperatures. The company’s air conditioners and purifiers also help improve indoor comfort and air quality in classrooms. Daikin Europe President Toshitaka Tsubouchi said the company is committed to supporting recovery efforts through sustainable technology.
