vivo India has become the first smartphone original equipment manufacturer to support and promote the Sanchar Saathi initiative launched by the Department of Telecommunications (DOT). This citizen-focused program aims to protect mobile users in India and promote responsible use of telecom resources.
The company has rolled out Sanchar Saathi educational videos across more than 600 authorized service centers nationwide. These videos are played every hour to help consumers understand how to use the platform effectively.
Through the Sanchar Saathi portal, citizens can report suspected fraud communications and unsolicited commercial calls, check all mobile connections issued in their name, block and trace lost or stolen devices, verify handset authenticity before purchase and report international calls that appear with an Indian caller ID.
The portal can be accessed at www.sancharsaathi.gov.in or through the Sanchar Saathi Mobile App.
