Nokia has been named the top vendor in Omdia’s Market Landscape: Core Vendors 2025 report, securing the #1 spot for portfolio competitiveness. The company achieved leading scores in cloud-native readiness, automation, core-as-a-service, portfolio breadth, and number of 5G Standalone core deals with communication service providers.
Nokia now leads the global 5G SA core market with 125 CSP customers, of which 54 have already launched live services as of Q2 2025. Recent wins include Ooredoo Qatar and Telefonica Spain.
Omdia praised Nokia’s strengths across its end-to-end core networks, highlighting its leadership in cloud-native solutions and automation. Nokia’s portfolio enables operators to run 2G through 5G and IMS cores as cloud-native network functions, covering packet core, voice, subscriber data management, analytics, charging, signaling and network exposure.
According to Nokia this recognition reinforces its multi-cloud strategy and ongoing innovation in areas such as security, automation and AI. Its approach allows CSPs to deploy their entire core on a unified cloud platform, cutting costs and simplifying operations while enabling faster and more secure service rollouts.
