Panasonic Entertainment & Communication has announced the AW-RP200GJ, its new remote camera controller designed for professional multi-camera and large-scale productions. Scheduled for release in Q1 2026, the controller will debut at IBC 2025 in Amsterdam. It builds on the AW-RP150GJ while adding new capabilities such as Panasonic’s first macro functionality, a dual-joystick system and enhanced workflow features.

The AW-RP200GJ allows operators to register macros that can execute sequences or manage multiple cameras with one button, streamlining complex tasks even with limited staff. Its dual joysticks enable more intuitive control with the right joystick dedicated to pan, tilt, zoom or focus and the left joystick assignable to tasks such as cropping or menu navigation. Twenty multi-select switches with LCD labels further simplify quick and accurate operation.
The controller also offers a 7-inch touchscreen with waveform monitor and vector scope display, plus touch-focus functionality. Setup is optimized through a web-based interface that allows batch configuration of multiple units, reducing deployment time. Video monitoring is supported via 3G-SDI, NDI High Bandwidth and SRT inputs. Compatible with models including the AW-UE160 and AW-UE150, the AW-RP200GJ provides scalability for productions using up to 200 PTZ cameras.
