GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group Company has announced a strategic partnership with the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) to develop an Inclusive AI Governance Framework. The initiative aims to embed fairness, accessibility and privacy into AI systems and models from the ground up, ensuring people with disabilities can fully participate in and benefit from AI-driven technologies.
The framework will serve as a practical blueprint for organizations, guiding the design of software, intelligent agents, connected devices and robotics with inclusivity at their core. By co-creating the framework with people with disabilities, the approach moves beyond retrofitted accessibility features to proactive, universal design. It also aligns with evolving regulations and seeks to set higher standards for trustworthy AI worldwide.
Announced soon after the 35th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the partnership integrates AAPD’s policy expertise and lived experiences with GlobalLogic’s digital engineering and governance capabilities. In addition to framework development, GlobalLogic will advise clients on embedding ethical AI practices into long-term technology strategies.
