Lenovo’s Project Pivo is a concept laptop prototype expected to be introduced at IFA 2025 in Berlin. The device features a 14-inch OLED display that can physically rotate between landscape and portrait orientations. The screen rotation is facilitated by either a hinge or magnetic connector system, allowing users to alternate between horizontal and vertical modes, each suited for different tasks such as reading documents, coding, and standard laptop use. Some reports mention an additional rollable function that can expand the display to 16.7 inches.
Switching to portrait mode may assist with reviewing lengthy documents, web pages, or software development, while landscape mode continues to support conventional workflows like gaming or watching videos. Project Pivo is one in a series of Lenovo’s experimental devices showcased at industry events to gather feedback. Similar concepts such as the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 with a rollable screen have previously been presented.
