Hitachi has announced the establishment of a global AI Factory built on NVIDIA’s AI Factory reference architecture. The initiative creates a centralized infrastructure designed to accelerate the development and deployment of physical AI solutions across Hitachi’s key business sectors, including mobility, energy, industrial, and technology.

The AI Factory integrates Hitachi iQ with NVIDIA HGX B200 systems, RTX PRO 6000 GPUs, and Spectrum-X networking, providing unified computing resources for global teams. This setup enables engineers to build and deploy advanced physical AI models that process data from sensors and cameras, interpret environments, and take actions in real-world scenarios.

The platform also supports AI workflows using NVIDIA’s full-stack ecosystem, including AI Enterprise and Omniverse libraries for simulation and digital twins. By distributing the AI Factory across the U.S., EMEA, and Japan, Hitachi ensures low-latency collaboration across regions.

This effort builds on Hitachi’s Lumada 3.0 vision, which combines IT, OT, and hardware expertise to drive digital and green transformation. According to Hitachi, the AI Factory will enhance solutions like HMAX for railway operations and contribute to efficiency, productivity, and safety across industries.
