Over the past few months, WhatsApp has introduced several updates designed to make chatting, calling, and sharing more engaging and convenient. One of the key highlights is the ability to share Live Photos on iOS and Motion Photos on Android, letting users send moments with both sound and movement for a richer experience.
Customization has also been expanded with Meta AI-powered chat themes, allowing users to design personalized conversations with unique colors and styles. In addition, new sticker packs like Fearless Bird and Vacation provide expressive ways to communicate without words.
Finding conversations is now easier with improved group search: by typing the name of a contact, WhatsApp will display the groups you both share, simplifying navigation through creative group names. On Android, document scanning is now built-in, enabling users to scan, crop, and send files directly from the app, a feature previously exclusive to iOS.
For video calls, Meta AI-generated backgrounds offer more personalization, placing users in virtual settings of their choice. These AI backgrounds can also be applied when capturing photos and videos in chats.
WhatsApp continues to evolve, aiming to help users express themselves, stay connected, and enjoy more dynamic conversations.
