Sony India has introduced the WH-1000XM6 wireless headphones, the latest in its award-winning 1000X series. The new model combines advanced noise cancelling, premium sound and an elegant design, offering an all-in-one solution for music lovers, travellers and professionals.
The WH-1000XM6 takes noise cancelling to the next level with Sony’s new processor and adaptive microphone system. It uses 12 microphones, 1.5 times more than the previous model, to block out unwanted noise in real time. Whether on a busy commute or working in a loud office, users can enjoy a clear and undisturbed listening experience.
Sony has also worked with top mastering engineers to deliver studio-quality sound. A specially designed driver unit, carbon fibre composite dome and unique voice coil structure ensure clarity across frequencies, with richer vocals and more defined instruments. Support for High-Resolution Audio and LDAC technology further enhances playback, while DSEE Extreme restores detail lost in compressed files.
For entertainment, the headphones feature 360 Reality Audio Upmix for Cinema, which transforms stereo sound into a theatre-like experience. Gamers can also use the Game EQ, tuned with Sony’s INZONE expertise, for better precision in FPS titles.
The WH-1000XM6 also improves call quality with six AI-powered beamforming microphones that focus on the speaker’s voice and reduce background noise. This ensures every word is heard clearly, even in noisy surroundings.
Smart features include Scene-based Listening, which adjusts noise cancellation based on activity and environment, and quick access to streaming services like Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music and YouTube Music. The headphones also support LE Audio with ultra-low latency and Auracast broadcast audio. With fast charging, three minutes of charge gives up to three hours of playback.
The WH-1000XM6 is available in Black, Platinum Silver and Midnight Blue at a best buy price of ₹39,990. Customers can purchase it through Sony Centers, select retail partners, ShopatSC.com and Amazon.
