Royal Philips has achieved a milestone with the 5,000th installation of its Zenition mobile C-arm system at Kolín Regional Hospital in the Czech Republic. Since its launch in 2019, Zenition has been adopted in hospitals across more than 170 countries, helping treat over 15 million patients annually. The mobile C-arm platform is designed to enhance efficiency in surgical and interventional procedures, addressing challenges such as staff shortages and budget constraints while ensuring high-quality imaging.
Zenition leverages innovations from Philips’ Azurion platform, including the Position Memory feature and BodySmart software, which capture fast and consistent images and reduce the need for C-arm repositioning by up to 45%. The motorized system offers tableside control and touch screen modules, giving operators greater flexibility and independence.
This milestone coincides with the 70th anniversary of Philips’ first mobile C-arm in 1955, reflecting decades of innovation in image-guided therapy. Zenition combines clinical expertise, workflow efficiency, and versatile configurations to meet evolving surgical needs and ensure long-term value for healthcare providers.
Philips emphasizes that the 5,000 installations demonstrate the trust clinicians place in the Zenition platform for safe, effective, and high-quality surgical care, supporting better outcomes for patients worldwide.
