The Nikon Museum, operated by Nikon Corporation, is celebrating its 10th anniversary in October 2025, marking a decade since its opening in Shinagawa in 2015 as part of Nikon’s 100th anniversary project. After relocating to the company’s new headquarters in Nishioi, Tokyo, in 2024, the museum now celebrates both its 10th anniversary and the first anniversary of its reopening with special events.
Visitors completing a survey during the anniversary period will receive a “Nikon Museum Original Card – 10th Anniversary Edition.” Scanning the card’s QR code reveals an exclusive photo frame featuring the anniversary logo, allowing guests to take commemorative photos inside the museum. The museum shop will also offer limited-edition merchandise, including towels and clear folders with special anniversary designs, available only this year.
In conjunction with the anniversary, Nikon Museum will host a special exhibition titled “The Traces in Oi – Nikon, the Town, and the People,” opening October 30, 2025. The exhibition highlights Nikon’s deep historical connection with the Oi district, where the company’s story has unfolded since 1918. Through historical maps, photos, products, and videos, visitors can explore the intertwined history of Nikon, its technological innovations, and the community that helped shape its legacy.
