Daikin Industries will take part in the Japan Pavilion at COP30 in Belém, Brazil, from November 10 to 21, 2025. Organized by Japan’s Ministry of the Environment, the exhibit will feature Daikin’s HVAC solution that prevents overcooling and saves energy by combining ventilation and air conditioning. This will be Daikin’s third appearance at COP, following its participation in COP28 and COP29.

The showcased system uses an energy recovery ventilator that exchanges heat and humidity between indoor and outdoor air, which reduces energy use and maintains comfortable indoor conditions. It allows higher air-conditioning set temperatures while keeping humidity low, leading to power savings of about 40 percent in Daikin’s own building tests. The solution has also been featured in a report by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development.

At COP30, Daikin aims to highlight how this technology can help cut carbon emissions from buildings, which contribute to a large share of global greenhouse gases.
