JBL has announced the Boombox 4, the latest addition to its portable speaker lineup, combining higher output power with a lighter, more durable design. The new model delivers 50% more power when operating on battery while weighing nearly 1 kg less than its predecessor. It introduces JBL’s AI Sound Boost technology, which optimizes sound clarity and power by intelligently managing the speaker’s drivers. Users can choose between two Bass Boost modes—Deep Bass and Punchy Bass each indicated by LED-lit logos that respond when activated.
The Boombox 4 features an upgraded audio structure, including a third passive radiator and new mid-range drivers for a balanced sound experience. With up to 28 hours of playtime (extendable to 34 hours with Playtime Boost) and a replaceable battery, it’s designed for extended outdoor or social use. The model maintains IP68-rated water and dust resistance, ensuring resilience across varied environments.
