Daikin Industries will take part in the COP30 Buildings and Cooling Pavilion organized by the Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction (GlobalABC) under the UN Environment Programme. The company will speak on November 11 in the session “Unlocking Energy Efficiency with Sustainable Cooling and Heating for Buildings” to share its work on energy-efficient air conditioning and heat pump technologies that support building decarbonization.
The global building and construction sector is responsible for about 37% of greenhouse gas emissions, making carbon reduction a top priority. Daikin will highlight solutions that integrate ventilation and air conditioning to cut operational carbon, along with technologies for heat pump heating and hot water supply. The session will include representatives from GlobalABC, Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, the UK Government, and the International Energy Agency.
Daikin will also join two other sessions at the Buildings and Cooling Pavilion:
“Making Heat Pumps the New Normal for Clean Heating” on November 14
“Efficient Cooling and Ventilation for Comfort and Decarbonization” on November 19
Daikin will also participate in a seminar at the Japan Pavilion titled “Turning Avoided Emissions into Corporate Value – Paving the Way for Practical Action” hosted by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. The company will showcase its energy-saving HVAC solution that combines ventilation and cooling to prevent overuse and enhance efficiency.
