Amit Sharma has been appointed Vice President – Power Products and Digital Energy Business, Greater India Zone at Schneider Electric. With over 28 years of experience in the energy and automation sector, he will lead P&L operations and serve on the India Management Team, focusing on innovation, sustainability, and digital transformation across the region. Over his 15-year journey at Schneider Electric, Amit has held global leadership roles including Vice President – MV AIS Activity & India League and Vice President – Marketing & Digital Transformation for the Medium Voltage Line of Business in Grenoble, France. He has played a key role in advancing Schneider Electric’s work in SF6-free green technologies and digital energy solutions.
Before joining Schneider Electric, Amit spent almost 14 years at ABB, where he led the Medium Voltage Switchgear and Apparatus businesses as Vice President & BU Head, driving growth and operational excellence. His strong background in marketing, product development, and business strategy continues to shape his leadership approach. In his new role, Amit will focus on strengthening Schneider Electric’s position in energy management and advancing the adoption of sustainable digital technologies across India and the region.
