Dr. Craig H. Barratt has been appointed to the Board of Directors at Intel Corporation, effective immediately. He will serve as an independent director. With over 30 years of experience in the semiconductor and technology industries, Dr. Barratt brings deep expertise in innovation, business transformation, and large-scale technology leadership.
He previously served as CEO of Atheros Communications, where he led the company through its IPO and acquisition by Qualcomm for $3.1 billion. After the acquisition of Barefoot Networks, where he was CEO, he joined Intel as Senior Vice President overseeing the company’s ethernet, photonics, and networking businesses. Earlier, he held senior roles at Google, leading broadband and energy initiatives including Google Fiber.
Dr. Barratt currently serves as lead independent director at Intuitive Surgical, Inc. and as a board member at Astera Labs, Inc. and other private companies. He holds bachelor’s degrees in Electrical Engineering, Pure Mathematics, and Physics from the University of Sydney and earned his master’s and PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
