Apple has launched the Mini Apps Partner Program to support developers who host mini apps and games built with web technologies like HTML5 or JavaScript inside a native iOS or iPadOS app. The program aims to improve the customer experience while helping host-app developers grow their business on the App Store.
To participate, developers must meet several requirements, including supporting the Declared Age Range API, the Advanced Commerce API and Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Hosted mini apps must follow App Review Guideline 4.7, provide an Apple-approved manifest and include clear metadata for all in-app purchases. Approved members will earn 85 percent of qualifying in-app purchase revenue from mini apps they host.
Developers can apply by submitting a request form as the Account Holder of their Apple Developer account. After approval, they must submit their app for review through App Store Connect, including mini app metadata and product IDs. Existing participants can update their manifest to add new mini apps or apply to add another host app.
