Siemens Smart Infrastructure and Delta have entered a global partnership to deliver prefabricated modular power systems for data centers. These systems are built off site, tested in advance and designed for fast installation. This approach can reduce time to market by up to 50 percent and lower capital costs by up to 20 percent. The design also supports up to 27 percent lower carbon emissions since it uses less concrete and optimizes available space.
The partnership aims to support hyperscale and colocation operators facing rising demand from AI and cloud growth. Delta brings expertise in UPS systems, batteries and thermal management which support high density data center loads. Siemens adds electrical power distribution and engineering capabilities.
The solution includes standardized containerized units like SKIDs and eHouses that follow a plug and play model. Operators gain predictable installation timelines and lower construction risk.
Both companies will also use Building Information Modeling from the start which creates a digital twin for better planning, faster commissioning and more efficient operations over the system’s lifecycle. This combined approach helps operators improve reliability and manage growth in a more controlled and sustainable way.
