Samsung has launched the R20 ultrasound system in India for general imaging. The system is built on Samsung’s Crystal Architecture which supports clearer images with better contrast and penetration across many clinical areas. It uses a new imaging engine a strong GPU and an OLED monitor to help clinicians view internal structures with more clarity during routine and complex scans.
The R20 includes several AI based tools that aim to reduce manual effort and improve consistency. Live LiverAssist can detect possible liver lesions during scanning. Live BreastAssist helps identify breast lesions in real time along with BIRADS classification. Other tools like auto measurement and Deep USFF support automated structure measurement and fat fraction assessment with accuracy similar to MRI PDFF.
The system is designed for use across abdomen thyroid musculoskeletal vascular breast obstetrics gynaecology and urology imaging. Better Doppler sensitivity helps in identifying small vascular details. The R20 also focuses on comfort with lightweight cables an intuitive touch interface and flexible configuration options to reduce strain during long procedures.
