LG Electronics is advancing its growth strategy in the Middle East by expanding its business-to-government (B2G) engagements, highlighted by a new partnership with Expo City Dubai. Signed on November 19, the agreement brings LG into the development of a next-generation smart city, aligning with earlier Korea–UAE discussions focused on AI-powered services and infrastructure. This collaboration builds on LG’s existing involvement with Expo City Dubai, where the company previously supplied LED signage for Expo 2020 and committed to providing built-in appliances for 3,000 new homes in the smart city.
As part of its Space as a Service approach, LG will support the project with infrastructure solutions including AI-based data center cooling and smart home technologies via its AI Home Hub platform. The partnership aligns with LG’s efforts to broaden its presence across B2C, B2B, and B2G sectors in the region.
LG continues expanding in key markets such as the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Recent initiatives include an MoU to supply cooling solutions for the Middle East’s largest net-zero AI data center in NEOM’s Oxagon district. With a long history of regional operations and government collaborations, LG aims to increase the share of its B2B business to 45% of total revenue by 2030.
