Havells India is hiring a Simulation Engineer for its Centre for Research & Innovation. The role focuses on electromagnetic simulations, motor development, and multiphysics analysis for next-generation electrical systems used in home appliances and energy-efficient products.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on in-house motor development and design optimization
- Perform electromagnetic simulations for ACB, MCCB, RCB, and MCB
- Run low-frequency simulations like WPT and induction thermal analysis
- Carry out 2D and 3D FEA validation and machine performance characterization
- Optimize motor designs across thermal, structural, and NVH factors
- Use ANSYS Maxwell, Motor-CAD, and OptiSlang for simulations
- Automate workflows using Python
- Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, and structural teams
- Support prototyping, testing, and performance benchmarking
- Work on PMSM, BLDC, PCB motors, SyncRel, SRM, and induction motors
- Engage with suppliers to ensure design and performance compliance
Requirements
- M.Tech or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Machines
- 5–10 years of experience in motor development and electromagnetic simulation
- Strong understanding of low-frequency electromagnetics
- Hands-on skills with ANSYS Maxwell, Motor-CAD, and OptiSlang
