BYD and Midea have signed a strategic cooperation agreement to develop a connected “human-car-home” ecosystem that links vehicles with home appliances. The partnership aims to create shared technical standards for AI agents device interconnection and data exchange.

The collaboration will cover all BYD vehicle brands and multiple Midea brands including Midea COLMO Little Swan Hualing and Toshiba. Both sides plan to standardize interfaces so users can control home appliances from their car and manage vehicle features from their home environment. The goal is to create a seamless experience instead of isolated systems.

The agreement follows earlier upgrades at the 2025 Guangzhou Auto Show where BYD models like Han L and Tang L added compatibility with Midea’s home systems. The partnership spans technology development standards connectivity and coordinated marketing across both product portfolios.
