LG Repositions the TV as a Digital Canvas With New 2025 Technologies

Television continues to evolve from a traditional viewing device into a multipurpose visual platform, and LG’s latest portfolio aims to accelerate that shift. The company is positioning its 2025 TV lineup as tools for creative display, interior integration and personalized digital art, supported by upgrades in picture quality, wireless connectivity and curated visual content.

At the center of this strategy is LG OLED, which uses self-lit pixels to produce high contrast and accurate color reproduction. This capability forms the foundation of the company’s “digital canvas” approach, where TVs are designed not only for entertainment but also for displaying artwork, ambient imagery and personalized visuals.

A key part of this transition is LG’s True Wireless technology and the introduction of LG Gallery+, a new image and video curation service available on all 2025 LG TVs across more than 150 countries. Together, these features aim to create a cleaner installation and more gallery-like presentation within the home.

One of the most notable products illustrating this direction is the LG SIGNATURE OLED T — a 77-inch transparent OLED TV with 4K resolution and fully wireless connectivity via the Zero Connect Box. The model has already received a Best of Innovation Award from the Consumer Technology Association ahead of CES 2026, signaling growing industry interest in TVs that function as interior design elements.

LG Gallery+: Expanding Digital Art in the Home

LG Gallery+ is built on the company’s webOS platform and includes more than 4,500 curated pieces of content, spanning classic paintings, contemporary visuals, gaming-inspired scenes and user-submitted media. The service uses personalization tools to allow users to adjust the room’s ambience according to different occasions.

A partnership with the National Gallery in London brings well-known artworks to the platform, offering new opportunities for at-home art engagement. The service continues to expand its library and is positioned as a key differentiator in how LG TVs function when not being used for traditional viewing.

Wireless Installation for Flexible Design

True Wireless technology plays a significant role in LG’s approach to home integration. By routing ports and processing to the Zero Connect Box, LG removes the need for visible cables and allows more flexibility in TV placement. This technology is available in the LG OLED evo M5 series and the QNED evo QNED9M series.

When paired with Gallery+, these models shift from appearing as inactive screens to serving as decorative or artistic elements within a living space.

Advances in Display Technology

LG’s 2025 OLED evo lineup continues to prioritize high-precision imagery, offering improved brightness, accurate colors and clean black levels. The company’s AI-driven picture processing analyses over 1.6 billion image parameters to fine-tune visuals for each environment. Features such as Dynamic Tone Mapping Professional also target creators who need detailed control over HDR10 content.

For buyers seeking a broader range of screen sizes and price points, LG’s QNED evo series uses Mini LED technology and the Alpha AI processor to enhance contrast and color accuracy. The Dynamic QNED Color system aims to maintain clarity and depth in both bright and dark settings. Models are available from 50 to 100 inches, targeting uses that include gaming, sports and multimedia art.

A Portfolio Built Around Personal Display Needs

Across its 2025 lineup — including LG SIGNATURE OLED, OLED evo and QNED evo — the company emphasizes flexibility in how TVs fit into daily life. True Wireless technology is designed to open up new placement possibilities, while Gallery+ introduces a wider selection of ambient and artistic content. Together, the features reflect LG’s broader move toward TVs that function as multipurpose visual platforms rather than single-role devices.
