Copeland and Daikin have announced the expansion of their existing joint venture into Europe, bringing new HVAC solutions to the residential heat pump market. The cooperation will focus on introducing inverter swing rotary compressors along with power electronics and control technologies designed specifically for European requirements.
The move comes as Europe continues to shift away from fossil fuels, driving higher demand for residential heat pumps supported by stricter climate and energy efficiency targets. Through this collaboration, the two companies aim to help original equipment manufacturers shorten development timelines and bring compliant products to market more efficiently.
The partnership combines Copeland’s experience in compression technologies, power electronics, controls, sales channels, and customer support with Daikin’s swing rotary compressor technology, which is known for its efficiency and reliability. Together, the companies plan to offer a more integrated solution for heat pump systems, supporting better system performance and smoother integration for manufacturers.
The expanded joint venture builds on earlier cooperation between the two companies and is expected to begin operations in 2026. It will serve customers across the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and nearby regions.
