Lenovo has been recognised in the 2025 ratings released by CDP for its sustainability reporting practices. The company received an A score for climate change and improved its water security score to A. This is the first year Lenovo has achieved the highest CDP rating in both climate and water categories at the same time.
CDP operates an independent global system that evaluates how companies disclose environmental data related to climate change water security and other sustainability factors. Companies that achieve an A rating are placed among the top four percent of organisations assessed worldwide based on transparency action and performance.
Lenovo’s CDP recognition follows other sustainability related assessments including being named a Most Sustainable Organization by HKICPA and maintaining an AAA ESG rating from MSCI for the fourth consecutive year.
The company continues to align its climate strategy with the Science Based Targets initiative Net Zero Standard. Lenovo reports that its emissions reduction targets for 2030 are currently on track as part of a longer term goal to reach net zero emissions by 2050. On water management Lenovo measures usage across offices factories and suppliers and has introduced a Water Resiliency Policy across its operations to strengthen enterprise wide water stewardship.
