Sterlite Technologies Limited (STL), part of the Vedanta Group, has appointed Nishchai Nevrekar as its Chief Digital Officer. In this role, he will be responsible for leading the company’s digital initiatives across its optical fiber and connectivity solutions businesses.
Nevrekar brings over 15 years of experience in areas including digital transformation, customer experience, supply chain, and advanced analytics. His professional background includes the delivery of large-scale technology programs across multiple geographies.
Before joining STL, Nevrekar spent nearly eight years at Pidilite Industries, where he was involved in shaping the company’s enterprise-wide digital strategy. During his tenure, he worked on digital platforms supporting sales, manufacturing, analytics, and automation, and was involved in building internal digital teams. His earlier experience includes leadership roles across FMCG, luxury retail, chemicals, and consumer durables sectors, with project implementations in more than eight countries.
At STL, Nevrekar will focus on driving digital transformation by leveraging data, automation, AI, and scalable digital platforms to support the company’s business objectives, including agility and sustainability. He is also known for his work in building digital functions and for engaging with topics such as generative AI and advanced analytics through industry forums.
