LG Electronics has announced the global launch of its new UltraGear evo gaming monitor brand ahead of CES 2026. The new lineup focuses on 5K and above resolutions across OLED New MiniLED and ultra wide formats. The first UltraGear evo range includes three models designed to balance resolution refresh rate and screen size for different gaming and creative needs.
A key addition across the lineup is an on device AI solution that enables 5K AI upscaling. This technology enhances lower resolution content in real time before it reaches the panel and does not require GPU upgrades. The AI system also supports scene optimisation and sound tuning to improve image clarity and audio output during gameplay.
The 39 inch UltraGear evo GX9 is a 5K2K OLED gaming monitor with a 21:9 ultra wide curved display. It supports Dual Mode switching between 165Hz at 5K2K and 330Hz at lower resolution with a fast response time. The display uses Primary RGB Tandem OLED technology and carries VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification for contrast control and black levels.
The 27 inch UltraGear evo GM9 is a 5K New MiniLED monitor designed to reduce blooming effects. It features over two thousand local dimming zones and supports Dual Mode operation between 165Hz at 5K and 330Hz at QHD. The display is certified VESA DisplayHDR 1000 and reaches high peak brightness for detailed highlights and shadows.
The 52 inch UltraGear evo G9 is the largest model in the series and offers a 5K2K resolution with a 240Hz refresh rate. Its wide panoramic format and curved design are intended for immersive gaming and multitasking. The monitor is certified VESA DisplayHDR 600 and provides a wider workspace than standard UHD displays.
The UltraGear evo lineup will be showcased at CES 2026. LG also confirmed that sales of the UltraGear GX7 gaming monitor will begin globally during the event.
