LG Electronics has announced that it will unveil its new home robot LG CLOiD at CES 2026 in Las Vegas from January 6 to 9. The robot reflects LG’s ongoing work in home robotics and its broader vision for a “Zero Labor Home,” where technology helps reduce the effort required for daily household tasks.
LG CLOiD is positioned as a home assistant designed to handle a wide range of indoor activities. It features a compact form factor suited for modern living spaces and includes two articulated arms with seven degrees of freedom each. The robot’s hands are equipped with five independently controlled fingers, allowing it to perform tasks that require precise and controlled movement.
The robot’s core system is housed in its head which contains a dedicated chipset along with a display speaker camera and multiple sensors. These components support navigation communication and interaction within the home. LG CLOiD is powered by LG’s Affectionate Intelligence technology, enabling it to understand its surroundings interact naturally with users and improve its responses over time through repeated use.
LG considers robotics a long term growth area and has set up the HS Robotics Lab within its Home Appliance Solution Company to strengthen its capabilities in this field. The company is also working with robotics partners in Korea and other regions to support research development and future products.
At CES 2026 visitors will be able to see LG CLOiD in action through demonstrations focused on real life Zero Labor Home scenarios at LG’s booth in the Las Vegas Convention Center.
