Daikin Industries Ltd. has been selected for the Clarivate Top 100 Global Innovators 2026 list. This marks the 11th time Daikin has been included in the ranking.
The Clarivate Top 100 Global Innovators list by Clarivate is based on in depth analysis of global patent data and highlights companies and research institutions with strong innovation performance. Clarivate has been publishing this ranking since 2012.
Daikin’s recognition reflects its long term focus on intellectual property and environmental responsibility. To support the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions Daikin has shared patents related to air conditioners using the low global warming potential refrigerant R32. Since 2019 the company has worked with WIPO GREEN and has registered 419 related patents to promote wider adoption of sustainable cooling technologies.
Daikin is also strengthening innovation through collaboration with startups universities and research institutions. These partnerships have led to increased patent applications in Japan and overseas and support the creation of new technologies while contributing to a more sustainable society.
